Our Founder
Campus Community was founded by Christian Alyea, co-founder and former Chief Innovation Officer of Study Abroad Association. Guided by years of experience in global education, Christian envisioned Campus Community as a new way to strengthen student engagement — combining innovative technology with institutional insight to help campuses connect, support, and inspire students in a changing world.
With more than fifteen years of experience in international higher education, Christian has partnered with over 250 institutions to expand global learning through faculty-led programs and virtual engagement. He has personally led more than 100 education abroad programs across six continents, working closely with diverse students and faculty to create meaningful, transformative experiences. His career has been defined by a commitment to understanding institutional challenges and developing innovative, community-centered solutions that advance student engagement worldwide.
